CBC blood test in Sharjah: what it measures
A complete blood count, or CBC blood test, measures several parts of the blood, including red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, haemoglobin and haematocrit. It may be used within a checkup or to support monitoring, but one CBC result does not diagnose a condition by itself.

Do you need to fast for a CBC?
A CBC alone usually needs no special preparation. If other tests are ordered from the same blood draw, their instructions may require fasting or timing. Confirm the complete order rather than assuming.
What should happen after the CBC result?
Read each value with the unit and reference range printed on that report. Results outside range can have many causes and do not automatically identify a disease. A qualified professional should connect the pattern to the reason for testing.
